Throughout June for Pride Month, the Pride flag will fly at all schools and worksites in recognition and celebration of the many achievements and contributions of 2SLGBTQ+ communities. Together, let’s help create spaces that are safe, inclusive and welcoming for all.

We are saddened to hear about the horrific, hate-motivated attack that took place over the weekend on a Muslim family in London, Ontario. Islamophobia has no place in our community. We stand in solidarity with those of the Muslim faith and others impacted by this tragedy.

The PDSB is in collective mourning after hearing the heart-breaking news that 751 unmarked graves were discovered at the site of the former Marieval Indian Residential School in Cowessess, Saskatchewan.

It's been a rough year to be in school. Yet this year has taught us the most about life. It has given us perspective, and reminded us, that pressure is what turns a stone into a diamond. This poem is my gift to you. Hold on to these lessons. Congratulations, Class of 2021.

So much has changed at SLSS. Learned abt Teachings of the Seven Grandfathers & #Unlearn murals. Not surprised our school has been designated an UNESCO 🏛️ #Education #Sciences #Culture 🇺🇳 school! Also great to see the "Welcome" steps in the languages of the diverse community we serve. أهلا وسهلا

This was powerful. A full length mural of a Muslim woman wearing a hijab, a healthcare worker, a superhero. Inside of a Peel District School Board, at SLSS, in the heart of Churchill Meadows. It's going to feel different walking in here.
