Today is Arbor Day! Sterling was again designated a Tree City USA for its investment in tree maintenance and plantings. The City first received the designation in 2012. Today, members of the Tree Board & Public Works planted a "Sterling Silver" Linden tree in Platt Park.

Bad news for those picking up children at Washington School. The leak turned into a burst before the repair can be completed. Ave I is closed between 15th and 16th Streets until the repair can be completed. Really bad timing, but beyond anyone's control.

Tomorrow is the big day! We break ground on Phase 1 of the Riverfront Park. This includes a playground, splashpad and a pavilion with restrooms that will also serve as a stage for a future amphitheater! Anyone is welcome to attend at 2:30pm at Ave B and Wallace Street.

🌨️😬Our first real potential snow storm in... forever! We're instituting a snow emergency beginning at 6am Wed. No parking on snow routes. Park on even side on even days and odd on odd until the roads are cleared. No tickets between 6a-8a to get cars moved.
