Look at this Doppler Estimated rainfall from last night and this morning. From CT to Boston. 2” to 4”+ …..few pockets near Quincy close to 5” Many of the major highways were flooded this morning.

Here is what the storm looked like coming out of Princetown. Very heavy rains, gusts 25 to 30mph, no thunder, no hail. Lasted 10 to 15minutes.

Stormtracker Radar 153pm Watching slow moving downpours and storms over the spine of the Green and Berkshire Mtns-watch for localized flooding. Another cluster of storms and downpours from Gloversville to Duanesburg moving slowly east.

Quick update 317pm. Area highlighted in green light great for localized flash flooding. Storms could produce 1 to 2in./1hr. Stormtracker Radar Clusters of slowly moving showers and storms. Most concentrated in Western New England coming out of the Catskills.

Stormtracker Radar at 455pm Loop for the past 45min. Large area of very heavy rain and increasing lightning around Cobleskill/Schoharie. Moving slowly East at 10pm. This may produce localized flooding for parts of Schoharie, Western Albany & Schenectady Counties

Blue lightning When you get lightning from a Sunny or P.sunny sky. Lightning can travel sometimes 10+ miles ahead of a storm, in this case near Schoharie Perfect example That’s why if you can hear thunder, it’s already time to take shelter even before the storm arrives.

Stormtracker Radar 6pm. Line of heavy rain and thunder continues to move ENEward. Storms have weakened a bit, and less lightning. Heaviest now from Duanesburg to Gloversville. A small cell has popped up near the Twin Bridges. Some localized flooding continues to be possible.
