£133 million to Pakistan this year in foreign aid... I say scrap every penny, and use it to fund a proper compensation scheme for the rape gang victims. Priorities matter, and it's about time we got ours straight.

We’ve sleepwalked into a screen-addicted childhood, it doesn’t have to be this way. Children as young as 4 should not be doing assessments on screens. We must ban smartphones in schools, bring back pen & paper for exams & ban social media for u16s. Labour are asleep at the wheel.

I was not expected to survive birth, my parents had bought the teddy I was due to be buried with. Very hard, knowing this as well as many other cases I’ve encountered pastorally, not to view today’s vote in the House of Commons as an act of acute moral evil.

In the Britain I grew up in we could run around, get drunk, get lost, make mistakes - and if an adult crossed our paths they'd help us, phone our mums, look after us - not abduct us, phone their mates and gang rape us. Importing medieval tribesmen was a bold experiment, and I'm

💰The Cost of Renewables 2025 Megathread💰 The Government is pushing the narrative that renewables are cheap and gas is the problem. It's been 18 months since my last thread showed this to be a lie. Have things changed? Or is Ed Miliband driving us towards ruin? 🧵

Or- did the SNP know, but allow it to go ahead as 'Bus company moves jobs to England' feeds the sort of sentiment they think will increase support for independence?

The SNP Scots are represented in the UK parliament. Holyrood is responsible for internal affairs only. Why is Alison Johnstone allowing a debate on this? It’s like a student union.

Does anyone remember 76? I was a little kid growing up in the north. It was so hot the tar on the roads blew up like black bubble gum. I remember the bollocking I got for getting tar all over shorts. Memories like that prevent from believing the current climate bull shit.

Reading this morning how the Pakistani Government is refusing to take back two Rochdale child rapists. This shouldn’t be a negotiation, there is no need to negotiate with the Pakistanis. If they don’t comply? £133 million in foreign aid, gone. Send them a bill for previous years

In 2016 the Scottish Government got the power to scrap the child cap in Scotland. A decade later, having lied about their ability to scrap it, they are *checks notes* scrapping it. Why aren’t the media all over this 10 year delay?

Alright, Scotland, let’s cut through the bullshit and face the fucking facts. The SNP’s been waving shiny distractions for years, but the numbers don’t lie, and they’re screaming crisis. By 2040, the NHS—God bless its creaking bones—will be chomping down a staggering 50% of our

Agent P "Cars contribute nearly 13 per cent of Scotland’s total emissions with traffic levels rising sharply since the Covid pandemic." That 13% is really 13% of 0.1% (0.013), so it's not as bad as suggested. There was a huge reduction in CO2 during covid, so it's not an increase.

Scotland's newest windfarm, Moray West, became fully operational at the end of April. Data for May is now available. Scandalously, it is being paid to switch off more than it actually generates power. (1/2)

🚨Sadiq Khan turns a blind eye to fare evasion. He tells his staff to stand and watch it happen. Today, I asked him why. He literally sat in silence and ignored me.

In the larger sense there's nothing "off", it's simply shifted to you. If 2 million households get £150 off the other 26 million have to cover it.
