P6/5 took their learning outdoors and created their own 3D model of the solar system

P6/5 have been learning about cultural diversity and exploring the topic of discrimination. As part of this, we learned about Rosa Parks and took part in a role play activity to understand her story.

P2 were very lucky to have a parent visitor in this afternoon to read a story in Tamil, our language of the month. Thank you also to J for translating the story into English for us!

Our infants enjoyed a story read in Tamil by one of our parents and translated in English by J in P2. We are so proud of the many languages spoken at St Joseph.

Well done to Y in P7/6 who took part in the Scottish dance event competition in the Royal Concert Hall this weekend. Her dance crew won overall Hip Hop Champions 2025!!

P2 spent a lovely afternoon in our brand new library 📚

P7/6 have been rising to the challenge with a series of outdoor mathematical scavenger hunts. Working in teams against the clock, they tackled tricky problems that tested their logic, collaboration, and resilience.

P7/6 have been stepping into the spotlight by acting out iconic scenes from 80s movies. They've been exploring character emotions, building empathy, and discussing how feelings are expressed through voice, body language, and expression.

Well done N and M for going head to head practising their skip counting in 10s in a game of Hot Potato!

P3 had great fun this morning participating in different activities with the Celtic Foundation Coaches. #JoyofMoving

This confident girl in P4/3 led her class in an art and design lesson this afternoon. Complete with her own Learning Intention and Success Criteria 👏👏👏 A future career in teaching perhaps? Her own teacher was very impressed!

P4/3 also loved our #JoyOfMoving stations with the fab coaches from Celtic FC Foundation this morning. Who cares about rain when you’re having fun?!!

N from P6/5 kindly brought in a cassette tape for P7/6 to see!We talked about how people used to wait for their favourite song to come on the radio just to record it—then had to rewind and fast forward the tape! So different from today, where music is just a tap away on YouTube.

A few weeks ago, P7/6 created powerful exposition texts on why all children should learn STEM. It led to great reflection on the vital life skills we’ve developed and some pupils were so inspired, they designed posters to highlight the importance of STEM!

P7/6 have been learning about Pentecost in RE. They explored the story and created doves to represent the Holy Spirit, a powerful symbol of peace and presence.
