P7S have been discussing ways to regulate and name our emotions, orange and blue cog ⚙️ We discussed that having something to look after and be proud of will help regulate us, so we planted sunflowers🌻Emotionworks


P2C have been learning all about the 🔵⚙️ We discussed our own regulation strategies and ‘What makes us feel better’ when we are feeling sad, angry or worried. Next steps are to focus on the 5 cog model and link it to our own personal experiences 🌟Emotion Works

P3/4 have started learning about the Grey Cog in Emotion Works . They looked the intensity of emotions and found words to describe the rating scale. Our next steps are to keep learning about the Grey Cog and begin to rate the intensity of our emotions.🤍⚙️

Primary One have been on an emotion hunt today. We used our ‘cognifying‘ glasses to find lots of words that describe different emotions. Next steps: further extend our vocabulary in everyday conversations. Emotion Works


Primary one have been reading the ‘Biffy Goat’s Gruff’ and talking about how the characters are feeling at different parts of the story. We identified different words to show an extending emotional vocabulary. Next steps: discuss behaviours related to emotions. Emotion Works
