Check out our latest paper on #nanofiber #micelleplexes in Biomaterials Science โ we manage to improve the transfection activity by >50% by increasing the length of the polymer! Big shout out to all my collaborators, especially Lennard who is a machine when it comes to cell culture!๐จโ๐ฌ๐ค

I am looking forward to taking over the Under the Microscope twitter account next week! I'll be talking about nanomedicine, my research, and my career journey, mixed in with some photos of my daily life on Vancouver Island - stay tuned! ๐

absolutley love this cartoon! Thanks ErrantScience for making it ๐๐จ๐จ

Delivering medicine around the body is a big challenge. In a new Biomaterials Science paper, the Ian Manners Research Group & Dr. Willerth labs test their precision nanofiber delivery system in different conditions. End result? 50% more DNA delivered to brain cancer cells! ow.ly/r8Tx50OmXEX

Our work on the mechanism of action of antibacterial nanofibers is out now in J. Am. Chem. Soc.. A bittersweet moment for us in the Manners group as we dedicate this paper to the big man himself - this was one of the last papers he submitted before he passed. You'll be missed, Ian!

We will be hosting a memorial symposium for my former PI, Prof. Ian Manners (Ian Manners Research Group) at UniversityOfVictoria on August 23rd. You can register for free for this hybrid event at the following link: forms.office.com/r/6wDLk709Kn (Deadline 9th August). Please share! Thanks๐ #CDSA #MainGroup
