Streetwise praises litter-picking sisters for raising over £2,000 for charity. Two litter-picking sisters who completed a ten-day challenge to make their local area litter free whilst also raising money for charity have been praised by Streetwise Environmental.

It is good to know that people are grateful for our help. The resident said: "That's brilliant, thank you so much! I'm so grateful of the effort you've put in, thank you."

A walker has thanked the Streetwise team for their fast response clearing a small fly-tip next to the A46 near Car Colston last week. He said: “Fabulous job at cleaning this horrible mess up. Not a sign of anything left. Thank you so much.”

Streetwise is helping to protect the hedgehogs as sadly on the decline and we need to do as much as we can to try to keep them safe and protected. We have put the stickers on our strimmer's, provided free by The British Hedgehog Preservation Society.

‘No Mow’ summer pollinator sites now trialling across Rushcliffe to see wildlife thrive. The authority’s Grounds Maintenance contractors Streetwise are now not mowing selected areas across the Borough to help create natural corridors to support and enhance local wildlife.

We are very sad to report that our teams discovered a deceased Tortoiseshell Cat today outside Post New Shop on Bingham Road in Cotgrave. Naturally, our teams are extremely concerned by this discovery and keen to ensure the owner is informed as quickly as possible.

Manager Ricky Smith from Rushcliffe Borough Council has thanked Streetwise Operative Dominic Herbert for his recent work at the re-laid pitches at Gresham Sports Pavilion. Ricky said: “A big thanks to Dominic. He has completed an excellent job overcutting the pitches."

National Recycling Week began on Monday! The United Nations Climate Change Conference is bringing world governments together to act on climate change in November and Recycle Now are using their annual Recycle Week to bring the nation together to unite against climate change.
