The launch of Sound ID in Merlin is one of the most exciting things to come out of the Lab of O since I've been there. I've had the privilege of testing the beta version of the app prior to the public release and it's such a cool new tool! Definitely check it out asap!

My first paper is out!😊 On how tropical forest fires🔥 affect the value of #regenerating cattle pastures🌱 for birds🦜 (spoiler: it's worse for more forest-dependent species). Grateful to my co-authors, WCS Mesoamérica y El Caribe, and my field crew in Guatemala authors.elsevier.com/a/1fCcB_9CgS5-…

Really pleased that our long-running project on birds of the Western Ghats, using eBird data, is now out in Ecography! Congrats to @vjjan91 for this part of his PhD; looking forward to our future work! But seriously, when Himalayas Vijay, when? Real mountains plz.

Attending #AOS_BC_22 and interest in using eBird Status and Trends data? I'd be happy to meet this week to talk about data access, answer questions, trouble shoot issues you may be having, and learn how you're using the data. DM me here or on the conference Slack space

Exciting use of eBird observations to investigate the forces shaping bird ranges in tropical mountains. A huge thank you to eBirders around the world for collecting the data that made this study possible!
