We're happy to share that AB 357, authored by David Alvarez, passed the Assembly Appropriations Committee today! Thanks to Assemblywoman Buffy Wicks and members of the committee for getting student housing streamlining in the coastal zone one step closer to the finish line.

If we wait for a better budget situation to address the student housing crisis, we'll be waiting for a long, long time, longer than students can afford. AB 893 from Assemblymember Mike Fong provides a pathway to build affordable student housing near campuses with $0 required from the state.
