Our latest exhibition Coal Face is open until Saturday 15 March. In Coal Face, Dr Louise Powell and Andy Martin create a compelling narrative through a dialogue between word and image about working life in Sunderlandโs mines โ and what it means to have seen the collieries close.





We are delighted that Sunderland UK has secured ยฃ488,000 grant funding from Arts Council England towards vital repairs to our iconic Winter Gardens. The funding will help safeguard the future of the beloved green oasis in the heart of the city centre ๐ orlo.uk/N0akI






โPlay The Museumโ was a big success! ๐คฉโจ We took our young musicians for a very exciting session at the Sunderland Museum, lead by musician Grace Stubbings, to learn about recording/sampling sounds from items, spaces, instruments and how to create soundscapes!
