A new Arctic #landcover map, developed by the ESA Climate Change Initiative's #Permafrost team details Arctic lakes, wetlands, and vegetation at 10m resolution 🗺️🛰️ Key findings: - Wetland & moist tundra (relevant for CH4 emissions, cover 9% & 32% of the region - Wetter regions

The CCI LST User Workshop is over! PhD students & researchers explored LST data for urban heat island analysis, with hands-on training from the CCI LST team. The goal: showcasing LST applications. More info: climate.esa.int/en/projects/la…

To conclude: Participants gained valuable insight into the potential of the CCI Toolbox, exploring LST data and analysis while being introduced to the underlying code for future study. The session successfully demonstrated how our tools empower users for independent exploration.
