This awesome little Grass Snake made a quick appearance as it darted across the water at the Richmond Park pen ponds! Managed to grab a few sharp shots before it disappeared.

Great Egret south over W Molesey this morning. From the missing/short primary on the right wing looks to be the same as the SNCP bird on Weds (& presumably Beddington?)

You might only be allowed to stay out till 10pm under the new covid regs, but that doesn't stop you dressing up in day-glowgreen with white tufty bits and a red tail-spike. Work-it #paletussockmoth caterpillar! 🙂

Nice walk around Thursley Common this morning before the masses arrived. No hoped for Ringtail or Shrike but was compensated by finding this beautiful European Hornet sitting in the sunshine. No’s of Red Kites were again impressive with in excess of 20 birds. Surrey's Wildlife
