Caribbean Day was a great success this year! We started the day with educational workshops, and wrapped up with an incredible celebration honoring our vibrant culture. It was an honor to work alongside my colleagues Rep. Dunkley, Rep. Johanna López López, & Rep. Marie Woodson.

Today I had the pleasure of meeting with Ms. Kuhn’s 5th grade class at Rampello K8 Downtown. We talked about what my job is like as a State Representative, the 3 branches of government, and the bill making process. I hope all students had a great LAST MONDAY of the 2024-2025 school year!

Few have given more to the state of Florida than John Thrasher. He was a statesman, a soldier, and a friend. Throughout his career, John served Florida with dedication. From serving on the Clay County School Board, to his tenure as Speaker of the Florida House, and later as

Florida lost a true servant leader. Speaker Thrasher helped shape the Florida House with principle and purpose. His legacy lives on in the policies he championed, the students he empowered, and the example he set for all who serve.

I am ecstatic to share that HB 1105 was signed into law. Language from my bill HB 1111 was amended into this bill. Through this bill we are removing the option of a student to leave high school with a phony diploma. I finally achieved this goal I set out to accomplish in 2018. 🥳
