The increasing costs of visas are making it more difficult for the world’s best scientists to work in the UK and is taking vital funds away from frontline research. Across Cancer Research UK’s four core-funded institutes, the combined cost has risen by over £200,000 in the past year alone.

As a researcher and a person who been effected by EOCRC, glad to have participated and contributed to the discussion. The highlight of the day was meeting Lisa Wilde from Bowel Cancer UK who been very supportive in funding my journey as an early career researcher in this field.
