Great to spend an afternoon HMP_Stafford celebrating #10x10 stories. Thanks to Susan Wall StaffordshirePLS for organising. Pleasure to read out feedback from ๐ฌ๐งPaul Zanon๐ฎ๐น & present the award tiles, plus thesauri from Give a Book The men were deservedly proud of their work.
We held a Disability Awareness event this week with lots of stalls and activities. Our amazing librarian, Susan Wall showcased our new Reader Pens generating a lot of interest. Our Staffordshire County Council library is such an amazing space and so well used. Thanks go to the whole team.
We had a brilliant afternoon welcoming Christopher William Hill to our Staffordshire Libraries last week - Christopher has written for BBC Radio, print & stage and he led a dialogue workshop with our borrowers. Thank you Susan Wall & the Library team & A.G. Smith - writer for organising.
Yesterday we welcomed Mr Gee to @hmpswinfenhall library for two poetry workshops - our groups were enthralled and gained confidence in their own writing as a result. Thank you SusanS & Jeannie for your hardwork & A.G. Smith - writer for organising this. Staffordshire Libraries #libraries
Along with StaffordshirePLS, we recognised prisoners who took part in the 10x10 100 word book review to improve literacy skills. 3 successful prisoners won a Gold, Silver and Bronze award. Thank you to our library team for continuing to promote the Reading Strategy to our prisoners.
