A lovely day at the reserve; Cuckoos and Nightingales performing beautifully, Lapwings with chicks, Wood Sandpipers, Avocets and my first Lesser Whitethroat and Garden Warbler of the year. Our welcome hut lizard was also a bit of an exhibitionist! 📷Anna Allum

Old Lodge didn’t disappoint this morning. 6 Warbler species, distant Cuckoo, a few Redstarts, but they’ve gone quiet now, and just a single Tree Pipit singing away. No raptors. ⁦Sussex Ornithology⁩ ⁦Sussex Birding
