In our Talking Points session for Year 1, we looked at how to keep safe and we listened to the story ‘No Dragons for Tea’. We learnt that if there is an emergency, we should call 999 and ask for the police, ambulance, fire brigade or coast guard🚫🐉🫖

We recently asked for donations of books written in different languages and have received some already. We are very grateful. These will soon be displayed and ready for use in our mobile library. We would be grateful for any further donations. 📘📖

As from today Sutton Road Primary School is officially part of Transform Trust multi-academy trust after a very long wait to join them. We are very excited for our school's future and the opportunities this offers our children now we are part of this excellent organisation.

Massive well done to 34 of our Y3 and Y4 children whose amazing historical short stories have been chosen to be published in an Ancient Adventures book as part of The Young Writers competition. It will be out in November. Awesome achievement 👏✏️

Author Luke Temple visited Sutton Road Primary sharing his books with children from F2 all the way to Year 6. He shared dramatic extracts of his books and got lots of our children involved. Some children also had fun creating one-word stories with him 😁😍📕✍️

Our school Parliamentarians attended their first meeting on 02.10.24 at Bagthorpe Primary School They met the other parliamentarians from Transform Trust they did team building activities, made some new friends & learnt more about their role. The theme for this year is ‘belonging’ 💛
