Super happy to see it out!! Nodal/TGFb morphogen gradient encodes both motility-driven unjamming and a code of heterotypic adhesion in gastrulation => collective and ordered mode of migration that reshapes embryos while preserving patterning! See 🧵 below nature.com/articles/s4156…

Thrilled to see a piece of my graduate work in PNAS! With Krishnakanth Baratam, Anand Srivastava Soumya Bhattacharyya Thomas Pucadyil; we analyze role of a novel membrane anchor & offer exciting insights into how variable loops in dynamin PH-domain actively facilitate fission! pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pn…

Very happy to share our latest work by Feyza Nur Arslan in collaboration with @nartimsoole Edouard Hannezo jack merrin. We built a biomimetic system to study E-cadherin-mediated contacts and showed they are maintained by F-actin/E-cadherin flows. ⏮️⏪↔️⏩⏭️ tinyurl.com/actocadflows

By testing different contractility conditions and modeling protein distribution as a function of flows and turnover, we showed centrifugal flows at the contact lead to the characteristic molecular organization of the contact, with E-cadherin and F-actin accumulating at the rim.

Today we had the second edition of the Heisenberg- Edouard Hannezo group joint lab meeting! We had an amazing line-up of talks, which will hopefully lead to many new collaborations 🤩 (1/2)

📢New preprint! Developmental systems have a remarkable ability to self-organize spatial patterns of different cell types. How can we quantify the information content & robustness of these self-organized patterns across biological systems? 👉arxiv.org/abs/2312.05895

Off to #spain yo present my PhD work at #grc #conference on intermediate filaments. I will be sharing some of my findings on the mechnosensitive interactions #keratin filaments play a part in during embryonic epithelial #morphogenesis.

Our PhD student Suyash Naik will be presenting his work at the Gordon Research Conferences on #IntermediateFilaments, TODAY at 6 pm! Make sure to attend to learn how the mechanosensitive crosstalk between #keratins and contractility mediate epithelial #morphogenesis in #zebrafish 🐟
