Oppositely, when grant applicants write their own stats stating they'll use "Kaplan Mayer," I suspect they've not studied it. (And it makes me think of the Oscar Mayer bologna jingle: "And if you ask me why I'll say, 'Cause Kaplan-Meier has a way with l-o-g-r-a-n-k.")

When I see results like this my first thought is: is that longer than 1 scan interval? Bc the drug could extend PFS by only 1 day but you’re still not gonna capture that ā€œdelayedā€ progression until the next disease assessment, weeks later.

Oh lord. Out of 755 oncology phase 3 RCT trials, 20% changed their primary endpoint after the study started. This was associated with trial positivity (!!) and 70% of these did not disclose these changes in the manuscript. What are we doing here??? 😵 jamanetwork.com/journals/jaman…

When you burn people out, you push them out. Stars are the first to leave—they have the most opportunities. The solution is not to pile on the perks. It’s to pinpoint the root causes of overload and design more manageable jobs. If you want to keep people, stop exhausting them.
