My 2nd R01 app is officially in, and I keep thinking of the quote from Thomas Edison- “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work”. I suspect that review of this grant will produce another long list of “ways that won’t work”. On to the next one! 🤷‍♀️

Having to work this week is a bummer, but I’m grateful to be doing what I love, I have a great work buddy, and I get to enjoy next week in Florida with the family!

Teaching a course on Occupational and Environmental Disease this semester and preparing lectures on lung diseases. My social media feeds are now flooded with ads for ambulance chaser attorneys and mesothelioma support groups. Makes me grateful for healthy lungs!
