The Swan Lake OE team has shifted our ‘classroom’ location today. We are so excited about the leaning opportunities that we are discovering in this local green space ☺️🌱Nokiidaa Public School

It’s always a pleasure to visit students German Mills PS We very much enjoyed our time exploring animal artifacts and facilitating a nature match-up. How neat that one class posted a physical adaptation ‘fun fact’ for passersby to read!

“Sometimes when I’m feeling annoyed, I go into nature and it always calms me down.” “If I’m feeling stressed out, I’d like to take a walk here to calm down.” ~Gr.4 students Wendat Village PS

🌿 We’re excited to announce our continued partnership with Greenbelt Foundation this year! Schools in the Ontario Greenbelt Region can apply for biodiversity project grants, with a chance to win up to $5,000! Learn more and apply here: ecoschools.ca/greenbelt-biod… #GreenbeltBiodiversity

Quote of the day: “Today was the perfect day for Nature Photography! Just look at the silhouette of these trees against the ominous clouds.” ~Gr7 student Lincoln Alexander PS

Thank you so much to Ms Chen’s gr2 class for the incredibly thoughtful messages. Bayview Glen P.S. To quote one: “I was and I am so happy to see your smiles, you made my brain expand and I had fun from the start to the end of the day!”

Thank you to the students Adrienne Clarkson PS for creating poppies with seed heads and fragrant sumac leaves. Lest we forget.

“Thank-you so much for getting me outside. You see, I spend my days in an office. I’m not someone who is known to like nature, but today I learned how beautiful it is.” ~parent volunteer HendersonAveHawks ❤️

Thank-you Yorkhill Elementary School for building creative ephemeral art, feeding the chickadees, going on a story journey, and exploring the trails through the eyes of a black bear.

Thank-you to our teacher candidate, Maral, for devising interactive & engaging ways for students to learn about photography techniques! Ontario Tech University

Two tremendous days with creative gr4 students laurieryrdsb@yrdsb who effectively applied the elements of design to their ephemeral art pieces! Today, one group designed an interactive structure to feed the chickadees!

We have enjoyed a fabulous start to 2025! Our adventures have included nature photography, habitat hikes, ephemeral art and today, was our first time out on snowshoes! ❄️ Woodland PS AND…we now have an Instagram account, please follow us there! instagram.com/swanlakeoec?ig…
