Nathan, a JMS Zookeeper, took care of Bubbles one break. He loved it so much he asked us if he could keep it. (yes) Nathan now moved onto high school but is now growing Kale at his home to send to the JMS Zoo, after Bubbles gets it's share of course. We appreciate and miss him!

The Columbia STEM Alliance is the first United States group ever to bring students to stay and learn at the International College of Technology in Hakusan, Japan- Columbia’s sister city. They are representing our city incredibly well.

The Columbia-Hakusan Dam Lunch at Hakusan National Park after we learned about the engineering behind the dams protecting the villages. The rice dam is holding back the curry lake in front of the bacon and tofu mountain and protecting the vegetable and mushroom town below.
