Mosaic was well represented at this week’s The Fertilizer Institute Agronomy Conference and Expo! 🌱 Keith Byerly discussed how to bring sustainability into business, Tryston Beyrer shared information about sulfur and its sources and Andrew Focht sat on a #regernativeag panel. 👏

In our latest article, we demonstrate that: (i) Zn speciation is not a reliable predictor of fertiliser Zn effectiveness; (ii) a coated barrier between P and Zn improves plant Zn uptake, (iii) Zn water solubility is maximised by decreasing granule pH. acsess.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/epdf/10.10…

Reviewing crop nutrient removals and soil tests this fall will be important for fine-tuning next years fertility recommedations.

Do you have your fall fertilizer plans in place?? Having VRT Rx's at your retailer ready to go before harvest starts makes for getting fertilizer on a field a simple phone call "Just finished harvesting the Jones Farm... go spread it".. With tight margins be sure your Yield

Potassium (K) is often the most yield-limiting nutrient in #soybean. If symptoms of K deficiency are observed, corrective applications should be made as quickly as possible based on state recommendations. Read more on the #BeanBinoculars website: ow.ly/GGiq50TtT9e

Each #harvest comes with a degree of soil nutrient loss, which varies based on crop and yield. Learn more about the nutrient uptake curves of different crops and why they're important to understand with Dr. Tryston Beyrer, Crop Nutrition Lead, West for The Mosaic Company.

Soybeans have been drying down rapidly. Pay attention to bean moisture and harvest loss. Timely harvest can help mitigate bu and $ loss that could be invested in other areas of the operation to improve profitability. We give up about 11 cents per bu for every % below 13%.

7️⃣ students at Crop Sciences started #grow24 with 2️⃣ goals in mind: expand their knowledge and push their yields to the max. Now, the season is done, and they've all learned a bit, but just one (or two) have been crowned the #UofIYieldOdyssey24 champion bit.ly/4fxy3tm

2024 Key Agronomy Lesson #3: P & K are ESSENTIAL for high yields & have a huge influence on Nitrogen Use Efficiency (NUE)! Blocks 3 & 4 of the Yield Pyramid. Have seen this for years on service calls vs happy customer soil tests. This year U of WI released study on nitrogen

Justus von Liebig's Law of the Minimum states that crop yields are limited by the nutrient in least supply, right? Nope. While often interpreted as such, this is not correct, and while Liebig is attributed as the "Father of the Fertilizer Industry" and he promoted mineral
