Today, during assembly, our Year 7 students received their very own copy of The New Testament, generously gifted by Gideons International. This incredible charity spreads faith by sharing God’s Word, offering free Bibles to those who need them. Thank you for being here today.

Year 9 took part in a fantastic road safety event yesterday. We had representatives from the emergency services in school looking at the dangers and how to minimise the risk. Thank you to everyone who helped make this a success. 👏

Across all year groups this week we walked with and remembered Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross. The liturgy was led by students for students with great confidence and courage. It was a perfect end to the liturgical term as we head towards easter and Jesus’ resurrection.

The palm leaves once waved in praise are now shaped into crosses, symbolising the road to Calvary. Palm Sunday begins the final period of Lent as we head towards the Tridium, the services commemorating Jesus’ death and celebrating his resurrection.

Today, as the Holy Father is laid to rest, we join the world in mourning and prayer. May his soul rest in peace and rejoice in the arms of our Heavenly Father. Thank you, Pope Francis, for your faithful service.

Today we celebrate Divine Mercy Sunday, a reminder of the endless love and forgiveness flowing from the heart of Jesus. No matter how great our sins, his mercy is greater. Let us trust in his mercy, seek his forgiveness, and share his love with the world. ‘Jesus, I trust in You!’

We had the pleasure of hosting Yr5 students from St Anne’s, St Joseph’s and OLV over the last week as part of our transition links. The Yr5 students had a Retreat Day and a Discovery Day where they had different challenges to think about and had a taster of different lessons.

Today some of our students have been on a PSHE trip to Bradford Tribunal Courts. Our students asked Judge Cox some insightful questions before taking part in a mock trial based on a real case involving cyber bullying and harassment. Well done to all involved 👏

Today our Yr8 have commenced an exciting PSHE project with First Give. Students celebrated their strengths by giving out tokens to show what they appreciate about each other; encouraging reflection about what we want to be known for and how our reputation comes from our actions.

It was a pleasure to welcome Year 10 students and parents into school this evening. They were given some excellent guidance and resources which will help them prepare for their exams at the end of this year. We hope you found the event helpful and just ask if you need help.
