📢NEW: A group of cross-party MPs and MSPs in Edinburgh and Glasgow have called for investment in a game-changing approach to HIV testing. It's time to "ramp up testing across the country", says Scottish Labour Leader Anas Sarwar. tht.org.uk/news/party-lea…

We were delighted to see Anas Sarwar & cross-party MPs/MSPs calling for investment in opt-out HIV testing in A&Es. This vital tool has already identified hundreds of undiagnosed cases elsewhere in the UK. If we’re serious about ending new HIV cases by 2030, we need urgent action.

Scotland could be the 1st country to end new cases of HIV As MSPs, MPs, THT Scotland & Waverley Care are saying, if Scottish Govt is serious about its 2030 goal to end new HIV cases, it must match ambition with action & investment to roll out emergency department opt-out testing

Scotland can & should lead the world in ending new HIV cases. 2030 is our target to do this & the clock is ticking. THT Scotland, Waverley Care & MSPs across the chamber urge Scottish Government to implement opt out HIV testing in A&E urgently. Success elsewhere in the UK is self-evident.

Pleased to support Terrence Higgins Trust & Waverley Care in their efforts to roll out opt-out HIV testing at Emergency Departments in Glasgow. A simple act that will save lives - time for the Scottish Government to act.

Expanding HIV testing will be vital to ending new cases of HIV in Scotland by 2030. David Mundell MP called for opt-out HIV testing in emergency departments in Scotland.
