This is a regular issue at the Globe Rd bus stop. If two buses arrive at the same time they cannot get past each other due to the road being narrowed with an extended pavement. It causes accidents, arguments & traffic congestion. Tower Hamlets Council need to urgently address this.

Back in February 2024, Year 5 pupils of Marner Primary raised concerns about ponding outside their school when it rains. They told me they would hold me to account to get it sorted. I am pleased to share that works are now planned for this summer to fix the issue.

We've had a few sessions in the last couple of weeks talking to residents. Many are raising issues about housing. Meanwhile, the major development planned in Bow has very little affordable housing.

Canvassing in Whitechapel Ward this morning with some great colleagues. Local issues such as bin collection, cleanliness of the streets & traffic congestion was raised. Ward Cllr Cllr Faroque will be raising these matters with the Council. Our movement for change has started!

Interesting to hear the lead member explain to residents about installation of CCTV cameras at today’s community safety surgery. The CCTV transformation programme is a legacy of the previous Tower Hamlets Labour Group admin. See cabinet report with date & name of the former Cabinet member.

While door knocking in Bethnal Green West in the past weeks, I received a lot of positive responses, Several issues were raised, including rubbish collection, anti-social behaviour, and concerns about the Low Traffic Neighbourhood. I will communicate these points to Tower Hamlets Labour Group
