Grade 5 students kicked off their trip to Niigata with sledding, snowball fights & a sword-handling workshop! Grade 4s are off to Yamanashi, stopping at the Narusawa Ice Caves before a forest adventure. More updates from both trips coming soon!

Grade 3–5 students returned from exciting residential trips today! From beaches and farms in Chiba, to Mt. Fuji hikes and stained glass crafts in Kawaguchiko, to outdoor survival and pottery in Niigata, so many memories and lessons to share. Welcome back!

The elective class Discover Japan! explored the world of mochi (sticky rice cakes) this week. Students enjoyed watching mochi puff up on the hot plate and tasted various flavor combinations such as anko (sweet red bean paste), kinako (roasted soybean flour), natto, and more.

To celebrate their last field trip and wrap up the year, our Kindergarten explorers visited the Omori Nori Museum. They learned how seaweed goes from sea to table, touched fresh seaweed, and enjoyed a sunny picnic. A joyful end to a year full of learning and friendship!
