You can hear everything these ladies had to say about the City of London’s new conservation grazing project on Farming Today tomorrow morning at 0545 or on BBC Sounds anytime after. Thank you to Hampstead Heath and Heath & Hampstead, who also took the time to chat!
In case you missed it, I spoke to Calixta Killander from Flourish Produce for Farming Today last week - we talked quality root veg, regenerative agriculture, and delivering to some of London’s best restaurants within 12 hours of picking! BBC Sounds: bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m0…
In case you missed it, this fantastic and informative programme is now on BBC Sounds. I recorded Jaega Wise at RumFest for Nina Pullman -- one of the most fun days of work (if you can call it that) I have ever done. If you like rum -- and/or history -- go and listen!
It was great to get down to Hugh Lowe Farms for a look at this project, putting lightweight solar panels on polytunnels. Finding answers to the land use trade off between renewables and farming is more important than ever. I look forward to seeing the final results of the trial.
With our rivers once more riding high in UK politics, I'm reminded again of this brilliant Grasshopper Geography map. A way of re-centring rivers in land and mind. Everyone lives in a watershed.
