Our next shot at rain is Sunday night-Monday, but it's not a guarantee yet. The European is locked in on a soaker, but the GFS is much drier thanks in part to the wedge. My best guess? We get some rain to overrun the wedge, but it's not as heavy as the Euro depicts.

Incredible view on visible satellite this morning of powerful Hurricane #Melissa, which is now a category 4 with 140mph winds. An unsettling sight knowing this will continue to intensify as it slowly churns towards Jamaica.

#Melissa strengthened into a cat 5 hurricane overnight, w/ max winds ~160 mph & minimum pressure ~913mb Additional strengthening is psbl later today, which could put #Melissa in very rarified air historically for Atlantic hurricanes Dire situation unfolding for much of Jamaica

A chilly, wet day for South Carolina. Rain likely won't let up much until tomorrow. Even then, off and on light rain/drizzle will be possible.
