Hear from myself and others of the Afghan and Veteran communities about the true extent of the US Government abandonment of Afghanistan on August 15th at Georgetown. 1208 Foundation will also stream it live. visions-of-afghanistan.eventbrite.com Sami Sadat BILAL SARWARY Mariam Solaimankhil

It was an honor to represent the 1208 Foundation in front of Congress. With all that is going on in the world, we cannot forget the obligation our country still owes to our Afghan Allies. Sami Sadat BILAL SARWARY Mariam Solaimankhil H. Parwani Jalil Shahkar

The welfare of the #NMRG will always be the core mission of the 1208 Foundation. We are profoundly disappointed in the decisions made by National Geographic and Disney, which in our opinion, lead to the death of one whom we pledged to safeguard and forced dozens more further underground.

Evan Wright I'd also like to add that Matt Heineman was not in Afghanistan for the scene that got our guy killed. It's more than a little ironic that someone who put such an emphasis on "the faces" never looked into the eyes of the people he exploited. Manuel Roig-Franzia Hope Hodge Seck

NEWS: The Edward R. Murrow Award - one of most prestigious journalism honors - stripped from NatGeo/Matthew Heineman documentary in latest fallout from The Washington Post investigation washingtonpost.com/style/media/20…

There were no known instances of a Murrow Award being revoked in the 50+ year history of the RTDNA- until now. Will this spur Disney, National Geographic or Matthew Heineman to finally render assistance to the widow and the remaining eight affected families? Manuel Roig-Franzia Hope Hodge Seck

Shawn VanDiver Just stop. You have never seen combat, you have never touched Afghan ground, you do not speak for us. All you are doing is hurting our cause with your undisciplined approach. There is a better way of doing this.

It has been over three weeks since Abdul Rahman Waziri was gunned down over a parking spot, and there are still no charges, or even acknowledgement from Houston DA Sean Teare nbcnews.com/news/us-news/w…

A man who served the US for five years in Afghanistan is dead, while witnesses are running scared because Sean Teare won't file charges against the shooter.

Turns out it wasn't just us at the 1208 Foundation who were raising the alarms about National Geographic and Disney exposing vulnerable Afghans in the Retrograde documentary Matthew Heineman and his film crew knew the entire time. wapo.st/4nVqqlI
