Amd 5: Rep. Salinas seeks to fund improved public safety and a Memphis Crime Lab by shifting funds from a mystery project in Portland TN.

Amd 6: Rep. Behn seeks to eliminate unnecessary pork projects from the state budget to help maintain our financially constrained state’s budget integrity.

Amd 7: Rep. Harris seeks to steer millions in Republican pork project funding to TennCare for increased healthcare access for Tennessee families because our state has failed to expand Medicaid and lost tens of billions in our own money.

Amd 8: Rep. Miller seeks to invest over $225 million in TISA that is now being appropriated to the State Charter School Commn, voucher scam, and Charter school facilities fund.

Amd 9: Chair Clemmons seeks to restore full funding to the Summer Food Services Program for vulnerable children by redirecting $77.2 million in proposed funding for voucher scam admin costs

Amd 10: Rep. Hardaway seeks to fully fund the Memphis Rock N Soul Museum (that was removed at last minute) by removing funding from the governor’s inflated payroll budget.

Amd 11: Rep. Behn seeks to fund the elimination of the grocery sales tax on fresh fruits and vegetables by removing Republican leaders’ pork projects, decreasing the AG’s inflated budget and new positions decreasing the Governor’s inflated payroll, etc.

Amd 13: Rep. Dixie seeks to remove $12 million pork project in Portland TN and invest it in the Hurricane Helene Relief & Recovery Fund for the benefit of NE TN families and local economies.

Amd 14: Rep. Glynn seeks to reappropriate tens of millions in $ being used to inflate the AG’s budget to fund grants that were removed at the last minute from the budget that would benefit our farmers, entrepreneurs, fight human trafficking, serve veterans and young families, etc

Amd 15: Rep. Hemmer seeks to reduce $4.5 million in new funding for the AG and invest it in the Starter Home Revolving Fund.

Amd 20: Rep. McKenzie seeks to shift funding for the Charter School Commission, Charter School Facility Fund and AG budget to the State Highway Fund to pay for badly needed infrastructure projects, ie reduce traffic congestion, maintenance projects (pot holes), etc.

HB1307 is Gov. Bill Lee ‘s latest scam. Under guise of ending ASD, Lee & Co are transitioning these schools to charters, steering all funding to charter operators, in addition to eliminating charter regulations, application requirements, etc. The scams never end with these folks.

We knew what the GOP was going to do.  We also know that this Atty General is going to hire dozens of new state employees whose primary qualification is that they’ll vow more loyalty to Skrmetti’s radical right political agenda than to protecting the civil rights of TN families
