The College of Ag. bade a fond farewell to one of its longest-serving patrons last week when, 45 years to the day since he started working at the College as a research assistant, AREC Superintendent Eddie Williams retired. Congrats Eddie!

The TSU Department of Human Sciences helped welcome future leaders during the recent Sylvester Pace HBCU Tour Visit, held on campus earlier this week during Preview Day at TSU. Human Sciences faculty and staff hosted a group of 11th-grade students as part of the visit!

Earth Day at TSU was a hoot as Dr. Tom Byl took his Ag Science 3540 class on a journey inside and outside of the classroom. The day kicked off with a discussion on art and nature led by Byl and veteran musician Dave Coleman and continued to the wetlands for a clean up! 🌱

TSU recently hosted the 1890 EDEN Advisory Committee for a Train-the-Trainer workshop. The workshop was part of a SARE-funded initiative designed to build the capacity of 1890 institutions in helping small and limited-resource farmers better prepare for and respond to disasters.

With the 2025 Spring Graduation behind us, TSUAg faculty and staff are already looking ahead to next semester, next year and beyond. Today's brainstorming session featured dozens of energized faculty members eager to do their part in bringing the best and brightest to TSUAg. 💡

TSU College of Agriculture plant scientist and professor Dr. Dilip Nandwani represented the Tigers at a recent U.S. National Science Foundation panel meeting on biowaste conversion for energy and fertilizer held at the UT Knoxville Institute of Agriculture last week. ☣️ Well done Dilip!

Congratulations to the 19 Riverdale HS students f who successfully completed the TSU dual credit Child Development course offered by the TSU Department of Human Sciences. Hats off to teacher Stephanie Cline for guiding these students through the challenging course.
