Well that’s it. I think I just retired from the NHS. Finished my last list for Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust after 31 years. Hopefully not primary closure given the long term outcomes demonstrated in the BIOPEX study. Prophylaxis against perineal hernia important for long term QOL. Optimising wound healing important for time to adjuvant chemo.
