TSKC have been successful in our application to the Tesco Bags of Help Grant Scheme for improving butterfly habitat along the Richmond Towpath by planting Elm trees.#bagsofhelp Groundwork UK Tesco London Vote in stores near Mortlake between 1st March and 30th April.

TSKC bags £2000 from Tesco’s community grant scheme towards planting Elm trees for the White-letter hairstreak butterfly. Trees will be planted in suitable locations along the Richmond Towpath.

The WLRG and TSKC have been awarded 5k to improve the habitat on the Richmond Towpath including nesting platforms and boxes and planting new trees. Ruth Hutton, TSKC said “It is a great example of Partnership working between local community groups, the TSKC and The LBRuT.

The TSKC has successfully bid for over £37,000 of funding from Viridor Credits, towards improving the pathway along the Mortlake Meadow stretch of the Richmond Towpath. Works are starting towards the end of September. The Thames National Trail are donating £6,000.
