I'm delighted to see over £8.6 million invested in vital upgrades at St Luke’s and Bradford Royal Infirmary. After years of Tory neglect, this is a welcome step forward. I’ll keep pushing for the funding our NHS and Bradford deserve.

Starmer said in his defence review speech ('an island of missiles') that public investment of £15bn would create 9,000 jobs in building warheads. Britain has 2.6 million manufacturing. So this spending makes no difference to the total, with only useless missiles to show for it.

This is really good news for Thames Water customers. Predatory KKR was so bad they were nicknamed "Barbarians at the gate" in the US. It is time the government stopped dithering and took Thames Water into public ownership. It's what 82% of the public wants.
