In Toronto District School Board, our work to combat racism & hate includes learning about other cultures, races & religions. Understanding different cultures allows for acceptance & tolerance of other people. Today’s visit to the Kiever synagogue was the first time for these students in a synagogue.

Learning about our municipal government, right before an election, then connecting to the community with TUSC is the best! Thanks R.H. McGregor Elementary School for 'incumbant' sign spotting Paula Fletcher, 311 contacting for water that won't stop running, playing & learning. #oememories

There’s more than one way to investigate biodiversity. After learning about invasive species in the rain, Ms. Gibson’s class from Morse Street JPS searches for other indicator species at Grenadier pond in High Park on sunny afternoon. #OEMemories

Experimenting with how to build walls out of rocks and examining their diff properties in the AM. Then outside to interact w/ & photograph the real thing in PM. 3 days in a row outside with Lord Lansdowne PS and Da Vinci gr. 3,4,5,6. 1 more to go! Every day should be #TakeMeOutsideDay

Every day is Take Me Outside Day Wilkinson Junior Public School because not all classrooms have four walls! I am so lucky to get to see the learning, creating, caring, and fun that happens outside at school.❤️ These Wilki kids are amazing! #outdoorlearning Take Me Outside @wilkinsonpsorg

Rain, rain (don't) go away, we still go out to learn & play! Puddles & raindrops won't stop Wilkinson Junior Public School kids from leaf learning & cedar spotting! #outdoorlearning sometimes means discovering nature's best umbrella & remembering why rubber boots are best for puddles. ☔🍂

At the TDSB, we do not tell students who they should be, but welcome them as they are. Please read our statement ahead of planned demonstrations this week: bit.ly/45VyvO0
