Visited @tvanews Nolichucky Dam today! This structure is over 100 years old and saw more water over it after Hurricane Helene than Niagra Falls on an average day and performed as designed.

This morning, we delivered the most electricity ever used in our 90-plus-year history with a preliminary peak of 35,319 megawatts. The previous record was 34,577 MW on Jan. 17, 2024. Where did all that energy come from? A diverse mix of generation sources, a dedicated team, a

We are watching a weather system that is expected to bring heavy rain to the TN River Valley this week. In preparation, releases from the dams on the main TN River will increase while the tributary dams store water. Expect lake & river levels to rise. ➡️ tva.me/9yA250UWpmS

Heavy rain and runoff are causing flows on the Tennessee River to be higher than normal. We are generating at full capacity and spilling at all nine of our dams on the Tennessee River to move the water through the system. By this weekend, expect flood stage and localized

Brrr, it's cold outside! Energy use will be high on Thursday and Friday, so we’re asking everyone to voluntarily reduce energy use from 6 am to 10 am on both days. It’ll help ease the strain on the power grid. Thanks for being energy smart!

The storms may be over, but the rain isn't out of our area yet! All the rainfall and runoff eventually make its way to the Tennessee River and the last stop on the river is Kentucky Dam! Currently we are using all 5 generating units and spilling over 1.4M gal/sec at Kentucky Dam.
