Last week some of our Middle School students went on our TOE Beyond trip to Yosemite! They visited Monterey Bay Aquarium, Santa Cruz for surfing lessons, Yosemite, South Lake Tahoe to ride mountain bikes around town and the lake, and the Golden Gate Bridge.

We had the pleasure of hosting Dr. Opal Lee on our campus in February 2022. We appreciate Dr. Opal Lee's dedication to raising awareness for Juneteenth far and wide, as well as her commitment to making this a national holiday. #juneteenth

Earlier this summer, Creative Writing instructor Danielle Sellers taught a poetry workshop at the Art of Living to Fort Worth students experiencing homelessness. Students will enter their poems in a contest organized by a local law office. #SocialSummer

On Juneteenth, Mr. Scott participated in Opal Lee's Walk for Freedom through Fort Worth's historic Southside neighborhood! We were honored to have Opal Lee, Grandmother of Juneteenth, visit our campus in 2022. #SocialSummer

In June we welcomed students from four local schools - Trinity Valley School, Rivertree Academy, Texas School of the Arts, and Sue Crouch Elementary - to learn together and serve the city of Fort Worth alongside one another. Together, we raised $269 for World Relief North Texas! #fortworthforward

Mrs. Sosa went to Costa Rica for her summer residency for her doctorate program in Educational Sustainability. On her trip she hiked in the rainforest, visited local farms, went zip-lining, and more. “It was a great experience I’ll remember forever!” #SocialSummer

TVS math teacher Ms. Burkhead spent a week instructing Advanced Placement teachers at TCU's AP Summer Institute, which offers over 60 courses for AP Teachers. We are so proud that one of our own TVS faculty is such an expert on Advanced Placement testing!
