Qantas pioneered the model of shifting workers to different companies to pay them less. Jetstar cabin crew working side-by-side in the same uniform should be paid the same, and we're applying to the FWC to ensure it happens.

Labour hire workers at Jetstar are paid thousands less than directly-hired workers. We've applied to the FWC today using the Albanese government's same job same pay laws to change that.

Jetstar flight attendants who are employed as labour hire do the same work as Jetstar’s direct employees but are paid much less. Thanks to Labor’s same job, same pay laws, these workers & their unions can right this wrong. The Albanese Govt is getting wages moving again.

Finch was a key figure in the illegal outsourcing of 1700 Qantas workers. A step in the right direction for Qantas - but still much to be done. afr.com/rear-window/qa…

Anne and Don - ex @qantas workers - illegally sacked in 2020 but still waiting for compensation. Over 31 years they built the spirit of Australia. Here they are prepping for mediation, seeking justice from a company that claims to have turned a corner. Today we shall see.

Qantas ground workers unlawfully sacked in 2020 at the height of the pandemic to receive an overall $120m in a hard fought victory for the Transport Workers Union. That’s about $66k each but small compared to compensating for mental and financial stress qantasnewsroom.com.au/media-releases…

BREAKING: Qantas agrees to a TWU Australia proposal to pay $120 million to the 1,800 workers it illegally outsourced in 2020. Long-overdue justice for some of the finest people i've ever met. But Peter Dutton's plan to repeal Same Job, Same Pay puts tens of thousands of working

Qantas to pay $120 million in compensation to over 1800 staff it illegally outsourced in 2020. Michael Kaine said “never again can we see Joyce-style tactics applied to wreck jobs and fight against workers receiving fair compensation”. theaustralian.com.au/business/aviat…

Congrats to TWU Australia for securing $120M compensation from Qantas for 1800 baggage handlers illegally sacked & outsourced, just to cut their pay. A reminder that more of this would happen if Peter Dutton gets his way & scraps Labor’s Same Job Same Pay laws. theguardian.com/australia-news…

1820 brave illegally sacked workers who exposed & tore down Joyce’s brutal @qantas management team today celebrate $120million - the largest payout for workers ever by a country mile. A safe & secure skies commission is needed so this can never happen again #auspol #ausunions

Bittersweet day for illegally outsourced Qantas workers. Anne & Susie worked at Qantas for decades—jobs they planned to retire in, with workmates who were like family. Qantas will now pay $120 million into a fund to compensate workers after fighting them in the courts for 4 years
