British Journal of Anaesthesia Safe apnoea time is the key marker of efficiency as opposed to ETO2 before induction, which is a marker of efficacy. As a clinician, I worry about desaturation not an ETO2, so extending the safe apnoea time before desaturation is more clinically useful.
