Yesterday, the 124th chapter of Woodberry Forest varsity football came to a close. This team consistently proved their worth and their willingness to compete with any and everyone. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to coach this group of uncommon young men.

Had the pleasure of spending a few days in Nashville, visiting with Montgomery Bell Academy as part of their SAIS accreditation team! Not only is this school beautiful, but it’s people, practices, and programs exude the excellence and the values stated in the school mission.

PoCC’s theme of the year - Reunited in Purpose - rang true for me over the course of the past few days. I felt as though I had taken a trip to the watering hole as I ran into so many friends in education (former teachers/classmates/colleagues). I have now left with a full cup.

My ability to present at this year’s PoCC, alongside my colleague and friend, Curtis Johnson, felt somewhat surreal. Among true giants in the field of education, we presented a workshop about the ongoing work of Belonging that we continue to do at Woodberry. #NAISPoCC
