The last 2 days fit the theme of this winter, with most of the snow falling on the upper mountains NW of the lake, where we saw 2-day totals of 1-6 inches. A dusting to an inch at best for everyone else.

A final 6-18 inches of snow fell on Tuesday, bringing the final storm totals to 23-50 inches. 2-4 feet of snow is not a bad way to start the month of April!

A much quieter spring pattern is ahead after a snowy start to April. A beautiful weekend ahead. A chance for showers on Monday, and then dry and warm by the middle of next week. We'll keep an eye out for any late season snow later in April... opensnow.com/dailysnow/taho…

Still waiting on the official report from the Snow Lab, but looks like around 5-6 inches of snow fell overnight near Donner Summit, and Palisades is reporting 3 inches.

We have some really, really promising forecasting technology we have been testing for the last year or two that I think will help us have much more accurate snowfall forecasts in Utah mountains.
