I've met many people who say that California's 2020 orange sky day was the moment they understood what a warming world really looks like. It was a wake up call. Some changed careers. Others got politically involved. Maybe this week is that moment for people on the East Coast.

Terrifying - if this was a graph from the year 2100 It would still be shocking - but its happening now in the year 2023 And politicians cannot even agree to end fossil fuels and pin their hopes on technologies that have not even been invented yet x.com/EliotJacobson/…

The biggest source of deforestation is beef. If you're eating, say, local grass-fed beef, you *still* have to eat less because if you cut back, that non-deforestation beef feeds more people and we reduce demand on deforestation beef. It's fungible. vox.com/down-to-earth/…

People who follow a plant-based diet account for 75% fewer greenhouse gas emissions than those who eat more than 3.5 ounces of meat a day, according to new research. A vegan diet also results in significantly less harm to land, water and biodiversity. nyti.ms/3pPKKfi
