It’s a wild turkey nest! Hens hide within brush, incubating the eggs for 28 days. Turkey poults are on the move in no time, ready to follow their mother within 2 days of hatching. Their small flock will join others creating bands of young turkeys accompanied by 2-3 adult hens.

More snakes, less Lyme disease? Science says yes! By eating tick-infested & Lyme-positive rodents, snakes can help control spread of this troubling disease. It’s just one of many ways snakes make peoples’ lives better! Thanksss snakesss! 🐍 #WorldSnakeDay 📷: Grayson Smith/USFWS
