Four CS faculty โ Sharon Y. Li, Xiaojin (Jerry) Zhu, Mohit Gupta, and Swamit Tannu โ were distinguished through UW-Madison's annual Research Forward initiative. CS faculty members are involved in three of the nine projects chosen for Round 4 funding. research.wisc.edu/research-forwaโฆ


"Quanta sensing for next generation quantum computing," led by Mohit Gupta (CS), explores quantum sensors to improve the speed and accuracy of quantum computers. Co-PIs: Swamit Tannu (CS), Mark Saffman (UW-Madison Physics), and Andreas Velten (BMI, UW Madison ECE)


One an only @madsjw wins the Dantzig prize. What an honor. Congrats Steve! Well deserved. Steve is also the current chair of UWโMadison Computer Sciences and doing a fabulous job indeed. Proud moment for our department.
