Today we're celebrating Elder Duke Redbird as he earns an honorary doctorate from York University Education. Redbird is an artist whose work includes literature, painting, theatre, cinema & rap poetry. His '78 York master’s thesis, We Are Métis, remains a seminal text on the Métis people.
