So glad to see that a basal promoter variant in Transporters and Solute carriers SLC47A1 is strongly associated with kidney disease. Giacomini lab characterize this variant many years ago, pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/19745787/

After studying fluid flow shear stress at level of cell, glomerulus and animal. We showed that manipulating prostanoid receptors can mitigate hyperfiltration (fluid flow shear stress) mediated injury in an animal model of uninephrectomy. doi.org/10.1096/fj.202…
