In anticipation of book on Raj Khosla by Amborish  I watched Mera Gaon Mera Desh (1971) at prime video IN My myth about Sholay got shattered. Well made film with an extended climax. Lots of pieces copied by Sholay ie. Outfits, coin toss, bandit raids, tutoring to woo,gun roulette.

Felt very sad on passing of FF. He created a new genre of writing. I had finished two of his books in school - Day of the Jackal and The Odessa File, like some of you in X. The rest in college. I have both books & the two films in my drive. Once in 5-6 years, I revisit them!

While Brad Pitt's F1 Rocks Box Office, Desis Call It A 'Copy' Of Saif-Rani's Ta Ra Rum Pum. The latter was a copy of Cinderella Man. Endlessly recursive loop. A predictable story, but a well made film - more than one can expect from most Hollywood theatrical releases these days.

From a naming standpoint, aren't two films releasing on the same day this week have the same theme? "Metro..In Dino" and "Jurassic World: Rebirth"?😁 #JustJoking

This entire theory of Nepotism in Bollywood doesn't hold good at all in practice. Nepotism might create some initial favouritism and direct contact access. But it's business metrics at end of the day. One needs talent, resilience and survival skills. Numerous examples, anyone?
