STEAM Carnival Day 2! What a joy it was to bring more campuses to try a wide variety of activities. We hope they loved exploring careers, challenges, and resources that stretched their minds and illuminated STEAM possibilities!

Thankful to see G/T services as a member of our department but also as a parent. I’m so appreciative for the work my teachers put into showcasing, displaying work, and having kids share their products.

What a night. My daughter’s science project makes tier 1 at the district science fair. My son performs an awesome musical with first and second grade. Then, my kids win a Dude Perfect signed ball at a PTA raffle. So proud of my kids. So thankful for an unforgettable night.

Students in the GT Thinking Lab are learning while participating in hands-on STEM activities that spark creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving. From building structures to writing stories, they’re collaborating, experimenting, and learning through discovery.

We are so proud of our incredible students who showcased their creativity, critical thinking, & hard work at our GT Showcase! Their projects were outstanding examples of innovation and passion. Thank you to our families & staff for supporting and celebrating our gifted learners!

It was the night before elementary UIL…

What a day… over 700 students competed in academic UIL for elementary today. Thank you team, teachers, coaches, custodians, security, and parents. What a day of celebrating student academic excellence! I’m so thankful for all who made today about celebrating kids!

It was a day of community, scholarship, and celebration at our inaugural LAN GT Expo! GT scholars across our four elementary schools came together to share their year-long research presentations. Special thank you to everyone that came out in support of our students!

Thankful to collaborate with campus leadership and teachers this past week. Along with my G/T teachers & district ELA personnel, we did a deep dive on internalization and how we can work together on content and building meaningful, rigorous enrichment. Katy Myers

What is critical thinking? How do we as provoke it? How can we build systems that support deep, meaningful learning? Loved tackling these questions w/ ES through HS teachers from across the district today in our Critical Thinking Cohort! Yes, we may have played with robots… haha

It’s a special week for my team & I, Camp Enrich. My location alone (of 3) has 46 different schools represented. A non stop, tremendously fun week of enrichment. So thankful to have this and to see our students make great things. Our success is found in student work.

Much more to come, but our G/T camp, Camp Enrich was such a huge success. More campuses, students, and parents than ever. So proud of this. And I get to consume it as a parent. My kids had a blast due to the hard work of their teachers. Feeling thankful for this community!
